PARIS : The Eiffel Tower - 8th August

Tourists on a bus

Today we rode the Hop-on-off Bus around Paris, the easiest and best way to get around and see everything.

First stop for us was the iconic Eiffel Tower - larger than it looks in the photos - and very imposing.

Yes that is a machine gun !!!

Back on the bus and around we went. The Architecture is amazing.

Maxim's - the most famous Restaurant in Paris - a quick look at the menu convinced us it was a bad idea.
Lamb chops = 65 Euros ($97)

Dinner & Dance at the Moulin Rouge is now 180 Euros ($240 pp) beyond our budget.

Must have got a bit bored at this point - a "Selfie" on the bus.

And then we caught up with a friend we met in Bormio (Italy - some weeks ago) and had a drink or two !!

Dinner on the Champs Elysees and that was it for the day.
